Greg Morris brings a powerful blend of experience, insight, and mentorship to the Golden Spikes coaching staff. A former standout infielder, Greg was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 5th round of the 1994 MLB Draft after playing college ball at both Sacramento City College and UC Davis. Over five seasons in the Angels organization, he compiled a .277 career batting average with over 200 RBIs, playing for clubs including Boise, Lake Elsinore, Cedar Rapids, and Midland. Known for his bat and strong field presence, Greg understands firsthand what it takes to compete—and excel—at the next level.

As a coach, Greg is dedicated to helping young athletes refine their fundamentals while also developing their mental approach to the game. He specializes in hitting, corner infield play, and overall offensive development. With a calm, focused coaching style and a deep understanding of the game’s demands, Greg empowers athletes to grow with purpose, discipline, and confidence. His professional background and player-first philosophy make him an invaluable part of the Golden Spikes Team.
